The Tupperware VentiSmart 6.1 L is my favorite large refrigerator container for keeping truly large amounts of fruits and vegetables fresh. Think of a whole head of lettuce, leeks, cucumbers, grapes, or a large stock of apples – in this spacious box, you store it all neatly and clearly. The secret lies in the smart ventilation system with three settings. This allows you to set exactly how much air your products need, so the natural moisture balance is preserved and you're less likely to suffer from wilted leaves or condensation. Result: less waste, more flavor, and an organized refrigerator.

The lid features a patented slider with three clear positions. The icons on the base show you at a glance which setting fits your fruit or vegetable. This way, you don't have to guess and you choose the right setting every time:

• Half-open – light ventilation; ideal for ‘breathing’ vegetables such as broccoli or carrots.
• Closed – both openings closed; perfect for products that require little oxygen, such as mushrooms or strawberries.
• Fully open – maximum ventilation; great for leafy greens like lettuce and spinach.

There is an integrated grid in the bottom. As a result, your vegetables never lie directly in moisture and air can circulate around them. That might sound simple, but in practice, it makes a big difference: less chance of mold, fewer bruises, and staying crispy for longer.

The VentiSmart containers are also stackable and fit inside each other when empty, so you save space in both the refrigerator and the cabinet.

Thanks to the tab on the lid, you can open the box easily, even with wet hands. And do you need a reminder? The integrated storage label helps you quickly find the correct ventilation setting.

I like to call the 6.1 liter size the ‘family size’: large enough for the week's groceries, but still handy enough to slide into the front or onto a shelf.
