Warranty & Complaint Handling
At Ivonne’s KitchenTools, I stand for reliable products and smooth service. You can expect from me and your purchase that everything does what it promises. If something still goes wrong? Then I will resolve that properly for you — within the framework of the law and my additional warranties.
1. Legal Warranty
In the Netherlands, as a consumer, you always have the right to a good product (“conformity”). If an item breaks prematurely during normal use, I must resolve this free of charge with repair, replacement, or (partial) refund — whichever is most appropriate in the situation.
There is no fixed legal term; the reasonable lifespan and type of product count. If a defect appears within 12 months, the burden of proof generally lies with the seller.
2. Manufacturer's and Additional Warranty
Some items also have a manufacturer's warranty (an extra commercial warranty) or an additional warranty offered by me. This always comes on top of your legal rights and does not detract from them.
The exact duration and conditions depend on the brand or product (often specified per line for Tupperware).
3. What is NOT covered by warranty?
- Damage due to incorrect or intensive use, dropping, impact, or external causes
- Normal wear and tear (e.g., scratches or signs of use)
- Parts with limited lifespan (e.g., rubbers or seals)
- Self-made modifications or repairs by third parties without consultation
This never excludes legal rights: if something breaks prematurely during normal use, I will simply resolve it.
4. How to report a defect
- Email me with your order number, description of the problem, and clear photos/video.
- Within 14 days you will receive a substantive response. If more investigation is needed, I will let you know.
- Together we determine the solution: repair, replacement, or (partial) refund.
- For a justified warranty claim, investigation and return costs are at my expense.
Tip: keep packaging and proof of purchase; that speeds up processing.
5. Dead on Arrival (DOA) / transport damage
Do you receive a product that is defective immediately upon receipt or has transport damage? Report this as soon as possible (preferably within 48 hours) with photos of the item AND packaging. I will then arrange a suitable solution free of charge.
6. Complaints & WebwinkelKeur mediation
Not satisfied? Let me know first — usually, we'll work it out together.
If that doesn't work, you can request free mediation via WebwinkelKeur. If no solution is found, you can submit the dispute to the independent disputes committee DigiDispuut for a binding ruling. (One-time contribution € 25; if you win, this amount can be recovered from the webshop.)
I am a member of WebwinkelKeur and comply with their guidelines for good terms and complaint handling.
